Since the boat will be primary used in the Sea of Cortez, the inboard motor
was replaced with an outboard 15 HP 4 stroke, mounted in a motor well.
With no more inboard, there is much more space
in the aft berth and it sleeps 2 very comfortable.
The V-berth is very comfortable too and has
plenty of room for two.
Underneath is a storage for a cooler and an extra
big storage in front.
There is also a head and also plenty
of space to store a lot of stuff.
The galley has a 2 burner stove, a sink, a 20 liter water
tank, hand pump and electric pump and all the pots, pans,
silverware and plates for 3.
There are another 80 liter water stored in different
containers.
The table has drop leaves to both sides
and underneath is also more storage.
The 65 W solar panel and the 10 Amp. alternator from the outboard will
keep up with the power use of the Norcold top loader fridge/freezer and
all lights and instruments.
There is a bimini and for the summertime a sun cover which funnels the
breeze and makes it very comfortable in the shade.
If you like to go out with a "real" sailboat, you can sail Moewe for only $ 890.00 Dollar / week + tax.
The boat will not be chartered just for a day or two, it is a minimum of a full week and
after that it is pro rated.
Plan plenty of time. The Sea of Cortez is incredibly beautiful and if you have more time, you can
sail to so many more fantastic places.
Sailing is great all year round, but it can be
cool in the winter with daytime
temperatures in the mid 70th and in the
summertime, it can get up to the lower 90th.
It all depends on where you are.
La Paz area is in the summer and winter
very comfortable.
Conception bay or Loreto area is colder
and windy during the winter month and
hot and sticky in the summer.
The islands in the Sea of Cortez are so beautiful and
there is so much to see and to do. Especially the
underwater world is so pristine, it is like swimming
in a big aquarium.
We love to tell you about the "secret" places to see, where to go,
where to anchor and especially where not.
We have detailed charts and will give you an extended briefing.
